multitude of local schools, boy and girl scouts and young girls holding baskets
of flowers. Late in the evening starts the procession of the last but the most
imposing epitaph the one of the Cathedral.
On Holy Saturday at 9.00 in the

the same church. This time the Saint saved the Ireland from famina. The
philharmonic band of Corfu plays the famous “
Amleto” by Faccio. It is a masterpiece of classical music!.
At the strike of 11 the locals come out on their balconies all over town and throw big pots on the ground making such a loud noise. The custom is very old and it is believed that it signifies the noise during the Resurrection of Jesus.
